In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Karnataka Advocates' Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 1996, (Karnataka Act 6 of 1996) (here in after referred to as the said Act), the Government of Karnataka hereby appoints the 2nd day of April, 1997 to be the date from which all provisions of the said Act shall come into force.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Karnataka Advocates Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 2002 (Kamataka Act NO.18 of 2002) the Government of Karnataka here by appoints the 15th April 2005 as the date on which the said Act shall come into force.
